Note: OneBid is a platform connecting users only. We are not a party to any agreements between homeowners and contractors. All project payments and arrangements occur directly between users outside our Platform.

5. Payment Information
5.1 Contractor Subscription Payments
OneBid processes contractor subscription payments through third-party payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal. These processors handle all sensitive payment information including:

OneBid does not directly store or process your full payment card information. We receive only limited information such as:
- Last 4 digits of payment method

5.2 Project Payments Between Users
IMPORTANT: OneBid does NOT process, facilitate, handle, or have any involvement in payments between homeowners and contractors for project work. All project payments are:
- Arranged directly between homeowner and contractor
- Made outside of the OneBid Platform
- Subject to agreements between the two parties
- Not visible to or processed by OneBid
OneBid takes no commission or fees from project transactions. We only charge contractors a monthly subscription fee to access the Platform.

6. Data Retention
6.1 Active Accounts

For Homeowners:
When you delete your account through account settings:

- Reviews you've left may remain visible but anonymized
For Contractors:
To delete your account, you must contact us at hello@weareonebid.com (contractors cannot self-delete accounts). After we process your cancellation request:
- Most personal information is deleted within 30 days
- Some information may be retained for legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records for subscription payments (for tax and accounting purposes)
- Records of disputes or Terms of Service violations
- Information required by law to retain
- Reviews received (anonymized after deletion)
- Aggregated, anonymized data
6.3 Legal Requirements

8.2 Contractor Account Termination
Contractors must contact OneBid directly at hello@weareonebid.com to cancel their subscription and terminate their account. Contractors cannot self-cancel through account settings. Upon termination:
- Your account access will be revoked
- You remain responsible for subscription fees through the end of your current billing period
- Most personal data will be deleted within 30 days after final payment
- You remain bound by any agreements with homeowners made before termination
- Subscription fees are non-refundable
- Reviews may remain visible in anonymized form
8.3 Termination by OneBid
OneBid may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violations of our Terms of Service, fraudulent activity, non-payment (contractors), or any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon such termination, your data will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.
